How did a Connecticut Artisan, become a premier Wedding Broom Designer ?
It took lots of determination and a creative spirit that dates back many years.
I was born in Westchester County, NY and currently live in Fairfield County, CT.
After many years of working as a secretary in a corporate environment and not being able to move my career ahead I decided to go back to school. My dedicated studies led to two graduate degrees. One degree in Law, the other in Business.
Being a frugal spender and creative thinker, I was able to retire at an early age.
What would I do with all this free time ?
With lots of support from my husband and a good friend, I began to expand my wings -- I painted murals on my hardwood floors and walls, took courses on flower design. My passion for floral design lead to a job at a flower shop designing Christmas decorations, Wreaths, Wedding Brooms and Ornamental Trees.
My creative urges didn't stop with Wedding Brooms and flowers. I've always loved jewelry too. So, I took jewelry courses at F.I.T., 92nd St. Y, and N.C.C. which I loved. This lead to creating bath and beauty products. From soaps to aromatherapy to bath salts and oils, even beeswax candles. I could not stop! Could Connecticut stand two domestic divas?
What to do with all these new found skills ?
I took all the information and passions that developed in me all these years and decided to
start a business focused on my three loves…
